Hero MotoCorp’s strategy for developed markets and strategy for India: The world’s largest two-wheeler company, Hero MotoCorp plans its strategies for Indian and developed markets. Sporty and heftier bikes are the expectations of the millennials, and the company wants to draw its strategies outlining the same.

Indian market is going through a callous face, and another two quarters it will take to recover. Gearing up towards facing new challenges and leapfrogging to BS-VI emission norms, Hero is already ready with the products. As it is known to everyone, Hero also planned its share in the electric vehicle segment. The company has invested in Ather Energy, and it has a 30% share in it.

Also, Hero has a center called incubation center in which the company plans different projects for future products. Apart from Ather Energy, Hero is working in its R&D center, the electrified version of e-Maestro. The design is in process, and the scooter is being designed going forward. The company has a technology center in Munich, Germany, in which bigger CC bike designs are being incubated. The boutique bikes are for the global markets which Hero is aspiring for.

No doubt, Hero is the best in the bike segments. But in scooter segment its erstwhile partner Honda takes the lead as always. It has been exactly a decade since the two biggies left hands.

Hinting this, the CMD and CEO Pawan Munjal highlighted, "Our R&D is only four years old. But we are proud to say that we already have done 150 projects may not be all new products but variants too. Of course, we did encounter some issues, be it manufacturing, design, or component issues, we take responsibility and gearing up learning from the mistakes. Our recent launches Pleasure Plus, Maestro 125, Destini are very successful products, and it is a continuous process for us to gain the market share in scooters too."
