JSW MG Motor India is set to expand its SUV portfolio with the launch of the all-new MG Hector Hawk on August 26, 2026.
The upcoming SUV will be the first model based on the company's newly unveiled ADAPT (Advance Drive Architecture Platform), a modular vehicle platform designed to support multiple powertrain options, including battery electric vehicles (BEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and range extender EVs
Positioned above the standard MG Hector, the Hector Hawk is expected to arrive in both battery-electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, targeting buyers looking for premium, technology-packed family SUVs
The SUV is reportedly based on the global-spec Wuling Starlight 560 and is expected to be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat layouts. It will be slightly larger than the Mahindra XUV 7XO, offering a longer wheelbase and a more spacious cabin.
The exterior is expected to closely resemble the Wuling model, featuring rectangular LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, wraparound LED tail lamps, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a clean front fascia. The EV variant is expected to feature a closed-off grille and a charging port integrated into the left rear fender.
Inside, the Hector Hawk is likely to offer a premium cabin with a minimalist dashboard, a large infotainment display, connected technology, and several comfort-focused features.
Safety will also be a major highlight, with Level 2 ADAS and multiple driver assistance technologies expected to be offered.
The Hector Hawk EV is expected to be priced between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 30 lakh, where it will compete with the Mahindra XEV 9S.
Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid version could cost around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35 lakh, taking on future rivals such as the hybrid-powered Mahindra XUV 7XO.
The Hector Hawk, JSW MG Motor India, is expected to strengthen its presence in the premium SUV segment while showcasing its new multi-energy vehicle strategy.
The launch will also mark the debut of the company's ADAPT platform in the Indian market, paving the way for future electrified models.
