This is Ajith's third film, directed by H. Vinod. Boney Kapoor is producing this film on behalf of Zee Studios. Ajith's last movie, Valimai, gained success, although it didn't satisfy the common audience much. And now, the anticipation for the Thunivu movie is high.

In the first look photo released by the film crew, Ajith is sporting a cool beard and moustache while holding a gun. The film's title is 'Thunivu' in the background, like a banknote layout. Under it, 'No Guts No Glory' is mentioned in English. Based on that, it is expected that the film's story may be centred on the bank.

Thunivu Movie Based on the 1987 Punjab Bank Robbery?

It is said that the Thunivu movie is based on the 1987 Punjab bank Robbery. This robbery is still considered one of the biggest bank robberies in Indian history. Twelve to fifteen Sikhs dressed as policemen and armed with submachine guns and rifles escaped with nearly 5.7 crores.

It is to note that during the heist, no one was injured. One of the Policemen who investigated the case described the heist as a neat and clean operation.
