The tension surrounding the censor clearance issue involving Jana Nayagan and Parasakthi continues to dominate discussions in the Tamil film industry. Amid the ongoing controversy, Parasakthi has successfully secured its censor certificate, clearing the way for its theatrical release. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 10, 2026, and bookings have opened, with seats filling rapidly across several locations.
The production team further fuelled the buzz by sharing a post on X stating, "A fire to speaks to all stages," along with visuals released by Red Giant Movies, signalling confidence ahead of the release.
On the other hand, Jana Nayagan has received approval from the Madras High Court, providing legal relief to its makers. However, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is yet to grant censor clearance. The final decision is expected at 2:15 pm today.
