Chiranjeevi is gearing up for another major theatrical outing, and his upcoming film has now officially received its title. The makers unveiled the title teaser of "Kaaka" on August 22, offering the first glimpse of the world created by director Bobby Kolli.
The film marks Chiranjeevi's 158th movie and is backed by KVN Productions. The title teaser was released ahead of Chiranjeevi's birthday celebrations, while the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 13, 2027, coinciding with the Sankranti festival period.
Chiranjeevi Introduced as K Satyam
The teaser initially presents Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, a middle-aged supervisor working in the aqua industry. Unlike the larger-than-life image usually associated with the Megastar, Satyam is introduced as a grounded and responsible man focused on his work.
In one of the opening sequences, Satyam assures the Chennai team that a load will reach on time. When Sunil asks for leave, Satyam refuses, reminding him that the team still has a festival target to achieve.
The relatively light-hearted setup continues when Getup Srinu tells Satyam about the scooter keys his daughter handed over. After the keys accidentally fall into the water, Satyam uses a remote-controlled mechanism and a magnet to retrieve them.
As Satyam retrieves the keys, guns emerge from the water, dramatically shifting the teaser's mood. The reveal sets up the film's title, Kaaka, while hinting that Satyam's seemingly ordinary life may hide a much bigger story.
The teaser then shifts into a flashback, introducing a younger version of Chiranjeevi. A gun-firing sequence gives the glimpse its biggest mass moment, showcasing the actor in a far more aggressive and attitude-filled avatar.
Bobby Kolli seems to present Chiranjeevi in two contrasting shades. One is the mature, middle-class Satyam, while the other is a younger character with a distinctly more stylish and powerful personality.
The contrast between the two versions is one of the title teaser's biggest attractions and leaves the larger connection between them open for the film.
Kaaka Cast and Crew
With its unusual title, two distinct Chiranjeevi avatars, and a blend of humour, mystery, and mass action, Kaaka has already sparked curiosity about what Bobby Kolli has planned for the Megastar.
Kaaka is scheduled to release in theatres on January 13, 2027.
