The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is Dhanush ‘s latest Hollywood movie directed by Ken Scott. He is a Canadian director and also a comedian. The director earlier in 2016 announced that he is going to collaborate with an Indian actor. Later it was announced that Dhanush is playing the lead role in that movie. The movie is based on the book "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir" who got trapped in the Ikea Wardrobe written by Roman Peurtolas. The film was primarily released in English and French. The movie was shot in four major countries. The countries include India, France, Libya and Italy.

The movie's source of inspiration, the novel was released in 2014 and was a bestseller worldwide. The movie will be released in July as announced by Little Red Car films who is also one of the Producers.
