The trailer for Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to Aditya Dhar's 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, was released on March 7, offering a glimpse of Ranveer Singh returning to the screen in a high-intensity action role.

The film brings back Ranveer Singh as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza, and continues the storyline established in the first instalment. The new trailer shows the character rising through the ranks in Karachi's Lyari area, with the narrative hinting that he is set to become the next "Lyari Ka Badshah."

The 3-minute-26-second trailer features several large-scale action sequences and uses a remixed version of Bombay Rockers' track "Ari Ari" as its background score. The preview ends with the character declaring, "Now India will decide the future of Pakistan."

The sequel continues the story from the first film, where Jaskirat was revealed to be an Indian spy who infiltrated a Baloch gang led by Rahman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna.

The original film ended with Rahman Dakait being killed by Hamza, who staged the incident to appear as if someone else was responsible. It also revealed that Hamza's real identity was Jaskirat, who had been sent to Pakistan by Ajay Sanyal, portrayed by R. Madhavan.

The first film, released on December 5, 2025, became a major box office success, reportedly earning more than ₹1,300 crore worldwide.

The original cast included Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali, and Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamal.

Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, with a reported runtime of 3 hours and 55 minutes. The film will also be released in South Indian languages, expanding its reach beyond Hindi audiences.

When the release date was first announced in December, the film was expected to clash with Yash's Kannada-English film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. However, Toxic has recently postponed its release to June due to the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, which has affected plans to release the film in Gulf countries.

With the competing release moved, Dhurandhar 2 now has a clear theatrical window ahead of its March 19 debut.
