The Madras High Court on February 10 allowed KVN Productions, the producers of Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film "Jana Nayagan", to withdraw their plea challenging the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certification process.

Justice P.T. Asha permitted the withdrawal after a request was made by Vijayan Subramaniam, counsel for KVN Productions. The production house had earlier sent a letter to the High Court registry, clearly stating its decision to withdraw the case and not pursue the litigation any further.

Based on this request, the matter was listed before the court under the caption "for withdrawal", and the court accepted the submission. KVN Productions informed the court that it has now decided to proceed with the CBFC review process rather than continue the legal challenge.
