Former union secretary of Salem West AIADMK, AV Raju has apologized to Actress Trisha for his controversial comment, which shook the Tamil film industry and social media yesterday.

AV Raju, Salem district executive who was expelled from AIADMK, gave an interview to the news channel in which he spoke ill about actress Trisha. In that interview, he said, "Do you know how many actresses were brought to Koovathur? In it, MLA Venkatachalam wanted actress Trisha. So, actor Karunas paid Rs 25 lakh and brought Trisha to Koovathur. Many more actresses came."

This allegation left Trisha's fans shocked. Director Cheran, RK Selvamani and others gave comments in support of Trisha. Even Mansoor Ali Khan stood in support of Trisha.

Following this, actress Trisha posted in her X, "It's disgusting to repeatedly see low lives and despicable human beings who will stoop down to any level to gain attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Anything that needs to be said and done henceforth will be from my legal department."

In this situation, AV Raju released a video apologizing to Actress Trisha. He said, "I heard that news from a related person, and I don't want to mention that person's name. What I have said has been misrepresented and shown. I didn't talk about any actress. I said it about a woman who looks like actress Trisha and not actress Trisha. I apologize to everyone in the film industry, including Director Cheran, Selavamani, and Trisha. If I have hurt, I apologize through social media." He said.
