Legendary director and actor K Viswanath passed away on February 2 at 92 in Hyderabad.

K. Viswanath, who started his career as a sound recordist, has made 53 films as a director. He also appeared in South Indian films as a character actor. Director K. Viswanath is the most prominent artist in the Telugu film industry. 

K. Vishwanath has won 5 National Awards, 7 Nandi (State) Awards, 10 South Indian Filmfare Awards and one Hindi Filmfare Award. He has been honoured with the Padma Shri Award by the Government of India and was also the recipient of the 'Dadasaheb Phalke', the highest award of Indian cinema in 2017. Many appreciated his role in Yaaradi Nee Mohini Tamil movie starring Dhanush and Nayanthara.

He died of natural causes due to old age at 92 at his residence in Hyderabad. The Indian film industry is mourning his death hands are conveying condolences on social media.
