The major update on Superstar Rajinikanth's next film, titled "Thalaivar 173", has been released by its director Cibi Charan, whose previous movie 'Don' hit the theatres with positive reviews.
As previously reported, this film was planned to be directed by Sundar. C, but later, for some issues with the cast, Cibi Chakravarthy replaced him.

Cibi Chakravarthy posted a picture of a book titled Thalaivar 173, which contains elements from the film. The film was produced by Kamal Haasan's "Rajkamal Films International" and R. Mahendran.
The hashtags that he tagged under the post provide information about the film. It is expected that the film will start shortly, with him saying "Arambikalam" (shall we start?).
With this, the director officially announced that the movie is set to begin shortly. He also tagged it #superstarpongal 2027, indicating that the movie is expected to release for Pongal 2027 as a great feast for the audience.
The film is being marketed with the tagline "EVERY HERO has a FAMILY," suggesting it will be family-oriented. Anirudh has been on board for this movie.
