Sattam En Kaiyil revolves around three scenarios. The protagonist Gowtham (Satish), on the Yercaud road at night, crashes into a two-wheeler. To avoid its consequences, he continues his journey with the dead body in the trunk of his car and gets stuck at a checkpoint. In an attempt to escape from the cops, he ends up in the police station with his car.

Even though the movie traveled in one night, the cinematographer PG Muthiah's use of different angles elevated the overall quality of the film. The music in the movie was also well-executed.
