The old video of a group of students ragging and beating the juniors with sticks in a private college in Andhra Pradesh is going viral on social media, prompting concern from both the management and parents.

On July 24 yesterday, an old video was released where the students were severely beaten and bullied in the SSN College hostel in Narasaraopet, Palanadu district, Andhra Pradesh

In the footage, senior students are seen bringing juniors one by one into a hostel room, where they are surrounded and assaulted with sticks. The victims are instructed to bend over while the seniors continue to attack, laughing and provoking each other.

Upon its release, the video quickly went viral, triggering public outrage and attracting media attention. In response to the public outburst, the police took action and filed a complaint against the senior students involved in the assault.

After the inquiry, police said that the video was taken on February 2. The juniors were asked to come in the name of NCC (National Cadet Corps) training.

Authorities highlighted that ragging and bullying in college is a serious offence punishable by law and urged students to quickly report such incidents to school management and law enforcement agencies.
