It has been reported that the Union Home Ministry has handed over the Bengaluru Rameswaram cafe blast case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The Rameshwaram Cafe, situated on 80 ft. road in White Field, Bengaluru, Karnataka, is a well-known restaurant. However, on March 1, 2024, there was a mysterious blast that occurred in this branch, resulting in injuries to nine individuals, including both customers and restaurant workers.

Last week, NIA officials investigated the scene of the incident. The CCTV footage from the spot was examined, and collected the samples. Reports have come out that the Central Ministry of Home Affairs has handed over the investigation of this case to the NIA. The NIA has registered a FIR and further accelerated the investigation.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara, who had spoken about the blast earlier, said, "We are continuing the investigation. Eight teams have been formed, all working in different directions and investigating from various angles. We have collected many CCTV footage. We are investigating from every angle, including whether there is any jealousy factor.

At this moment, everyone is cooperating with the government. I request the opposition parties not to make this a political issue. We don't know if it has anything to do with the Mangalore blasts," he said. It is expected that more information on this case will be coming out following the NIA's investigation.
