Bengaluru: Rameshwaram Cafe Bomb Blast Detailed Report

On Friday (March 1), a terrific blast happened at Bengaluru's popular Rameshwaram Cafe, causing commotion in the locality. In this tragic incident, 9 people were injured seriously, including a woman. Regarding this tragic incident, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed that it was a bomb blast. Karnataka's deputy chief minister, DK Shivakumar, said that the public need not panic about the Rameshwaram Cafe bomb blast.

Rameshwaram Cafe Bengaluru

The Rameshwaram Cafe is one of the most popular restaurants in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Cafe is located in White Field, 80 ft. road. A mysterious blast happened in this branch on the afternoon of March 1, 2024. A total of nine people were injured, including restaurant workers and customers.

Rameshwaram Cafe Bomb Blast

Later, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah confirmed that it was a bomb blast. A customer who came to the restaurant left the bag that he had brought to the cafe, and it exploded after he left.

Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar said the suspect was identified using the CCTV camera. He said that the suspect is aged around 28 to 30 years. The accused took the coupon for food at the cafe but left without having the food.

Rameshwaram Cafe Investigation

About this, Bengaluru Police, bomb experts, forensic experts and NIA officials visited the restaurant and conducted investigations. Further investigations will be held. So far, the police have not released any information about the substance that exploded in the restaurant or the reason behind the blast.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's Statement

Regarding this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said to the public there is no need for panic as it is a minor blast. He further said that it's the first time incidents like this have happened under their regime, said Siddaramaiah.
