Earthquake in Chhattisgarh: 3.0 Magnitude Earthquake In Surajpur

On Thursday morning, August 4, 2022, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook Chhattisgarh's northern area. The National Center for Seismology states that the earthquake occurred at 11:57 IST. Tremors from an earthquake were reported 15 kilometres away in the Surguja division. The agency added that the earthquake was 10 kilometres deep.
Notably, this is the third quake in the state within a month. While the first tremor was felt on July 11, 2022, with a magnitude of 4.3, the second was felt on July 29, 2022, with a magnitude of 4.6. There have not been any reports of significant injuries or damage due to the earthquake.
