Gold prices have fluctuated throughout March, leaving buyers uncertain. While rates dipped slightly in the middle of the month, they continued to fluctuate. Now, on April 1, gold prices have surged again, delivering a fresh shock to consumers.

On March 31, the price of 22-carat gold had dropped by ₹100 per gram, bringing it down to ₹13,670. One sovereign (8 grams) was priced at ₹1,09,360, down ₹800. However, the relief was short-lived.
As of today, April 1, gold prices have jumped sharply. The rate of 22-carat gold has increased by ₹380 per gram, taking it to ₹14,050. Accordingly, one sovereign has risen by ₹3,040, now costing ₹1,12,400. The 10 grams of gold is above ₹ 1.51 lakhs.
