Pune Porsche - Unregistered Car:

The recent Porche car crash in Pune resulted in the loss of two lives. It was reported that the Porsche involved had been operating without a number plate for months, raising serious concerns about oversight and enforcement.

Reports indicated that the luxury sports car, valued at ₹2.5 crore, was awaiting registration due to an unpaid fee of just ₹1,758. In this case, Vivek Bhimanwar, Maharashtra Transport Commissioner, said that the electric Porsche Taycan car was imported in March by a dealer in Bengaluru, and after a temporary registration, it was sent to Maharashtra.

He further adds that,  "It was found that a certain registration fee was not paid and the owner was asked to pay the amount for completion of the procedure. However, the vehicle was not brought to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for the registration process after that."

Pune Porsche Accident - Escape Plan:

After hearing about the incident and the case filed against him, the prominent realtor and the father of the 17-year-old made an escape plan to Mumbai. He made a plan and changed to a new SIM card so the police would not be able to locate him and took one of his cars to Mumbai with a driver.

Before he took a leave, he ordered another one of his drivers to take another car to Goa to distract the police. Then, on his way to Mumbai, he transferred to his friend's car and directed the car towards Chhatrapati Sambhajinaga.

The police got the information on time and tracked the vehicle through its GPS. Pune crime branch with the help of footage from CCTV cameras on the route identified the realtor. However, he was found in the lodge in Sambhajinagar and the cops arrested him and will be under police custody till May 24 and he will be eventually produced in court.

Pune Porsche - Crime:

The 17-year-old drunken teenager caused a major accident that cost the life of two 24-year-old engineers. The accident took place in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area on Sunday morning and it is stated that the luxury car came in contact with the motorcycle with an estimated speed of 160 -200 kmph.

It said that the 17-year-old minor had consumed alcohol in the name of celebrating passing class 12 at a local pub with his friends. In one of the two pubs, he spent 48,000 within one and a half hours on Sunday.

Even though the legal drinking age in Maharashtra is 25, the teenager broke the law and consumed alcohol which was also caught in CCTV footage. The consumption of alcohol is the major reason that leads to the cruel accident.

Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, both 24-year-old IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh working in Pune, were traveling on a motorbike when the Porsche crashed them, and they died in the accident spot. The accident was captured in the CCTV footage and the photos captured went viral on social media.

The boy was bailed after 15 hours in Pune's Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), and his punishment was to write a 300 hundred word essay and counsel against drinking.

Pune police tried to file a strong case against him and requested the court to consider him an adult due to the nature of the crime which was also rejected by the Juvenile Justice Board.

This enraged the people of India, who knew the punishment had been given to the boy. So people took it out on social media and it is trending on social media. The police filed cases under Sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act against the bar and the boy's father.
