Suchana Seth, aged 39, a chief executive officer of an artificial intelligence company, has killed her 4-year-old son and travelled from Goa to Karnataka in a taxi along with her son's body in a bag. This incident has shaken the nation.

Suchana Seth was arrested on Monday night from Chitradurga and brought back to Goa the next day. Earlier reports indicated that the woman, Seth, and her husband, Venkat Raman, lived separately, and divorce proceedings were underway. Seth was reportedly distressed following an unfavourable court decision regarding the custody of her child.

Venkat Raman, originally from Kerala, was in Indonesia when the tragic incident of the child's murder occurred. Superintendent of Police (North) Nidhin Valsan stated that he has been instructed to return to Goa to provide his statement regarding the case. A local Goa court has remanded Seth to police custody for six days. The allegation suggests that the accused woman murdered her son because she did not want the 4-year-old son to meet her estranged husband.

Following the investigation, it is said that the accused has denied any involvement in the crime and claimed that the child was dead when she woke up from sleep. During the investigation, police found that she had on January 6 messaged her estranged husband, Venkat Raman. She told him that he could meet the child the next day, police sources said.

On Wednesday, Goa Police revealed that the killing of Seth's four-year-old son appears to have been premeditated. This conclusion is drawn from the recovery of two empty bottles of cough syrup in the room where the accused allegedly murdered her son, suggesting the possibility that she administered a substantial dose of the medicine to her son.

It is believed that Suchana would have brought one cough syrup and the other she would have asked the apartment staff to get. A senior police official mentioned that a post-mortem examination has been carried out, revealing the potential likelihood that the victim was smothered to death, possibly with a piece of cloth or a pillow. However, there were no signs of any physical struggle.

It is now reported that the chief executive officer of an artificial intelligence company, Suchana Seth, is not cooperating well in the investigation. It is expected that much shocking information will emerge when the investigation intensifies.
