In Uttar Pradesh, a 17-year-old girl was kidnapped and held hostage for three days and raped. In addition, her forehead was branded with a hot iron rod for refusing to marry a 21-year-old man.  This shocking incident occurred in Lakhimpur Kheri Uttar Pradesh, which shattered the country.

The 17-year-old victim is from Lakhimpur Kheri, a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. In the case, the accused who works in a salon shop asked the victim to marry her which she refused. The rejection triggered the 21-year-old to do the horrible activity. 

The UP Girl Kidnap:

On April 19, the victim was returning from the shop after buying groceries. While she was returning, the accused Aman took a chance to kidnap the girl to his house and raped her multiple times. 

The victim during the time of investigation mentioned how the accused mother and sister helped the accused by holding her hands to brand his name on her forehead with a hot iron rod while she was screaming for help. This shook the nation wondering how a family supported a crime against a girl.

On April 21, the victim somehow escaped from the cruel man and returned home. Her family filed a complaint against the man. 

The Accused Arrested:

The police arrested the accused on April 27. The case was first registered under several Indian Penal Code Sections, including 343 for wrongful confinement, 323 for voluntarily causing hurt, and 504 for intentional insult. Later, Section 376 for rape and provisions under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) were added to his crime.
