As per the UPSC or union public service commission calendar, its civil services notification 2020  is to be released on February 12. The crucial preliminary exams are to be conducted on May 31 and the main exams on September 18.  The successful candidates can then attend the interview to become IAS and IPS among other officers all over India.

For administrative purposes, each district of a state will have a collector who is responsible for all activities happening in the district. He or she is the deciding authority and has to take care of the welfare of the people in the district.  Similarly, the superintendent of police is the head of the district police force and is responsible for law and order in the entire district. UPSC civil services exams conducted every year only select such responsible officers.

How hard is it to clear the Civil Service Exam?

Lakhs of people all over India will be applying for the preliminary exams.  Since only a few thousands can participate in the main exams, preliminary exams are considered to be one of the toughest exams in India.  It is not easy to get through it.

Age Limit and Attempt Limit:

Also, the age limit for anyone with a bachelor's degree is only from 21 to 32 years. The number of attempts in these ten years is only six. If anyone exhausts all the six attempts by 29 years, he or she will not be allowed to write the preliminary exam again, even within the age limit of 32 years.

There will be a brainstorming Interview Session:

Only because of this,  lakhs who write the preliminary exams are reduced to 10 to 15 thousand in the main exams. The last and final selection process of UPSC is the interview. Those who have completed the main exams will be called for interviews. It will be a brainstorming session, and to get past it is tougher but could be the ticket to become IAS and IPS officers.
