When will the UPSC release the Civil Services Main 2019 results? UPSC today announced that the Civil Services Mains results 2019 will be known only next week. All the 11,845 candidates shortlisted from the preliminary exams have to wait until next week to know their results. It is kept pending for the order by the CAT or Central Administrative Tribunal on a case filed by few applicants from the EWS or the Economically Weaker Section. The said order is to be pronounced tomorrow, January 9, and then the UPSC will announce it anytime next week.

UPSC conducted the civil service main exams from September 20 to 29, 2019. Most of the 11,845 students who were shortlisted from the preliminary exams, wrote the main exams for 1750 marks. The results were to be announced on December 20. But after the parliament passed a 10 % reservation for the EWS candidates, some of them filed a case in the CAT. The order on the said case is to be pronounced only on January 9.

Rakesh Gupta, UPSC secretary, said that after the court's order, the UPSC would be able to release the results anytime, and it could surely be by next week.

The candidates who clear the main paper only will be called for the interview, which carries 275 marks. With that, the three-stage process of the civil services exam for 2019 will conclude. Then there will be announcements for  IFS or Indian Foreign Service, IAS or Indian Administrative Service, IPS or Indian Police Service, IRS, or Indian Revenue Service, and other administrative officers of group A and B of central services. The next year's civil services preliminary exam, which is the first stage, will only commence from the announcement of the civil services exam 2019 results and rank holders across India.
