Sridhar Vembu, the founder of Zoho, is working on a project to establish an advanced chip design centre in the Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu. This initiative is part of the Central Government's ambitious mission to make India a major semiconductor hub.

Sridhar Vembu aims to set up a semiconductor design project in rural Tenkasi in southern Tamil Nadu. Chip manufacturing centres are also expected to start production in a few years. Sridhar Vembu is trying to develop chip design technology in Tamil Nadu, and it is considered of utmost importance for a Tamil Nadu-based company to establish a chip design centre.

Sridhar Vembu has promised to work with BJP leader and former Intel engineering director Ananthan Ayyasamy to create a chip design centre. Ananthan Ayyasamy expressed his commitment to carrying forward the alliance's success under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai. He also said there are plans to bring technology-driven prosperity to the area.

This joint venture between Zoho and Ayyaswamy will use technology to develop small districts, promote economic development, and create opportunities in rural areas like Tenkasi.
