The India Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating that Kerala will experience continued heavy rainfall on Wednesday. This has raised concerns about the potential for flash floods and waterlogging in major towns such as Kochi and Kollam.

Furthermore, the Meteorological Office has updated its forecast and issued an orange alert for seven districts: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki. The forecast indicates that these districts may receive rainfall ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm within the span of 24 hours.
The districts of Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode in Kerala have been issued a yellow alert due to the possibility of isolated heavy rainfall. A yellow alert implies that the region may experience rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within a span of 24 hours.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority have advised the public to be extremely cautious and take necessary precautions to prevent rain-related incidents and stay safe.

The state of Kerala experienced significant disruption due to heavy rainfall in central and southern regions on Tuesday. In Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala, extensive traffic congestion occurred as major roads were inundated, resembling ponds after the intense downpour.
Attention: Yellow Alerts Issued for Major Districts of Kerala
Yellow alerts have been issued for several districts in the state of Kerala on specific dates. On May 30th, the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode are under yellow alert.
On May 31st, the yellow alert is in place for the districts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram.
On June 1st, the alert is extended to Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kozhikode.
