Mohanlal arrived at the Army camp in Meppadi early in the morning, dressed in his army uniform. The actor was conferred the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009. He arrived to support the victims of the tragic Wayanad landslides.

After a brief meeting with army officers, he proceeded to the affected area to evaluate the situation and support relief efforts.

On his X account, Mohanlal praised the rescue teams, saying, "I salute the courage and dedication of the selfless volunteers, policemen, Fire & Rescue personnel, NDRF teams, army soldiers, government officials, and everyone working tirelessly to aid the victims of the Wayanad disaster.

I am particularly grateful for the efforts of my 122 Infantry Battalion, TA Madras, who are leading the relief mission. We have faced challenges before and emerged stronger. Let us remain united and showcase the strength of our unity during this difficult time. Jai Hind!"
