BJP Violation: Illegal Banners Surface During PM Modi Chennai Roadshow

PM Modi Road Show In Chennai

The Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will take place on the 19th in a single phase for all 40 constituencies. In contrast to previous elections, the BJP is contesting as a separate coalition, which has led to a four-cornered competition in Tamil Nadu.

In this Lok Sabha Election 2024 it is expected that there will be a heavy competition between the DMK alliance, the AIADMK alliance, the BJP alliance, and the Naam Tamilar Katchi.

In this situation, on April 9, Prime Minister Modi came on a 2-day trip. Prime Minister Modi took a rally in an open vehicle from Panagal Park in Chennai to Pondy Bazaar via Teynampet signal, a distance of about one and a half kilometres.

It has been reported that during Prime Minister Modi's road show in Chennai, there was a violation of election rules. It is alleged that BJP supporters put up illegal advertisement banners in Thyagaraya Nagar. The incident occurred two days ago. The Election Officer filed a complaint, and as a result, Mambalam and Pondu Bazaar police registered a case and started an investigation.
