On February 28, TVK functionaries requested permission for the meeting from the District Superintendent of Police, and it was granted and scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, at the Cultural Capital of Tamil Nadu, Thanjavur.
The police permitted the functionaries to enter, subject to 52 conditions, which they verified via QR scanning. The meeting focused on instructing functionaries from eight assembly constituencies to strengthen grassroots-level coordination.
TVK party announced that the meeting will take place on 10 acres in Ayyasamipatti, near Sengipatti village, in Thanjavur, and that 4,900 functionaries are expected to attend. The party also provides that the meeting will last approximately 5 hrs, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
He reclaims his trichy speech by saying, "Vijay means Tamil Nadu and Tamilnadu's Vijay," and he heartwarmingly says that he wants to be born into an agricultural family in his next life. He also adds that he is not a member of the farmers' family, but he wants to become part of it. Yet, he knows the pain of an agricultural family.
Yesterday's meeting, Actor Vijay, leader of the TVK (Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam), addressed the functionaries and called the opposing parties, such as AIADMK and DMK, an evil force or theeya sakthi that cannot regain its claim again in Tamil Nadu.
Vijay asked the functionaries to believe in him and asked whether they would make his party win this time to be free from corruption in India. He identifies the 2026 election as an oceanic emotion call to make a corruption-free government.
He assures that if TVK wins, the unfinished scheme under the present government must be rectified under his rule. He also addresses the delta region and farmers, promising to waive crop loans for farmers with up to 5 acres of land and proposing to package all ration commodities except rice.
He ensures that vulnerable people receive economic support for educational advancement and also protects the families of fishermen. In a cricket parallel, he asserted that the Delhi team cannot beat Tamil Nadu.
The overall TVK meeting focuses on strengthening the party and clearly articulating its aim of transforming Tamil Nadu for the better.
As the crowd dispersed from the massive 10-acre venue in Thanjavur, one question continued to echo among supporters and observers alike: Can Vijay's political momentum translate into an electoral victory in 2026?
