The Met Office has forecast heavy rains in Chennai again due to strong winds. Heavy rains were seen in many districts, including Chennai, due to the depression that formed in the Bay of Bengal in the last week.

The heavy rain affected many parts of Tamil Nadu, and some common people lost their belongings due to heavy floods. And now again, the Met Office has forecast heavy rains in Chennai again due to strong winds.

Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a Red Alert for heavy rains in Chennai on November 18. It has been reported that the low-pressure area near the Andaman Sea in the Bay of Bengal will not turn into a deep depression.

Thundershowers will develop at several places of Tamil Nadu, namely in Erode, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Tiruppur, Salem, Dharmapuri, Namakkal and Kallakurichi districts.

The low-pressure area in the south-eastern and central-eastern Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Andaman Sea is likely to move towards the southern Andhra-North Tamil Nadu coast on the 18th, moving westwards in the next two days.
