While an enforcement officer was caught taking bribes in Dindigul, the anti-bribery department raided the Madurai office of the enforcement department.

The 15-hour raid conducted by the Tamil Nadu Anti-Corruption Bureau at the Madurai Enforcement Directorate office has ended. It is reported that many important documents have been seized from the office.

The State Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Wing arrested Enforcement Directorate officer Ankit Tiwari on Friday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20 lakh from a Dindigul government doctor.

Following this, anti-corruption police raided Ankit Tiwari's house and room at the Enforcement Department Assistant Zonal Office in Madurai Post Office from 7 pm on Friday.

It is reported that a laptop and many important documents were seized during the raid. According to reports, the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Division has also decided to investigate the people related to Ankit Tiwari.

Ankit Tiwari, arrested earlier, was produced before Dindigul Chief Criminal Judicial Magistrate J. Mohana on Friday night.
