Michaung Cyclone created an unforgettable disaster for the Chennai people, similar to the 2015 Chennai flood. Chennai people are returning to their normal lives now, but we can still see the impact of heavy rain in many places.

Many houses of people with low incomes were washed away in the heavy rain that lashed continuously. In a few cases, many Cars, bikes and scooters were emersed in the flood.

Luckily, a few vehicle owners parked their cars on the bridges. A video of many cars getting washed away near Velachery went viral on social media.

Mostly, after every heavy flood Chennai people will sell their cars for a very low budget as there will be many repairs. Car dealers from other districts will go to Chennai at the end of December to get the cars at a very low budget. This is because the water gets into the car, and many parts will get damaged. Even if they repair, it would be hard to maintain.

In that case, many people struggle to repair vehicles damaged by heavy rains in Chennai. Chennai people started to put their money into doing repair works for their vehicles. Knowing the demand, the workshop owners have set a high budget even to repair for a small damage.

Anyways since the Chennai condition isn't back to normal completely the vehicle oners need to wait to repair their vechicles until everything settles back to normal. Tamil Nadu Auto Workers Union (CITU) Executive President S Balasubramaniam said, "If water enters the auto, it will cost Rs 6,000 to repair it. At the same time, we have been unable to do business for a week. The government should consider these and provide relief."

According to A. Zahir Hussain, general secretary of the franchised drivers' union, said, "The cost of cars is between Rs 10,000 and Rs 60,000. Most insurance companies say there is no insurance in case of floods. So, the government should help."
