TN Weather: Chennai Meteorological Department Issued Orange Warning

Heavy rains are expected in the delta and southern districts of Tamil Nadu. The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for heavy rains in the southern districts, Pudukkottai, Kadalur, Ariyalur and Delta districts.

It has been raining in Tamil Nadu for the last one week. Courtallam Falls has been flooded due to heavy rains in the Western Ghats. Thus the tourists are delighted. The amount of water coming to the water levels in the southern districts is increasing due to this summer rain. Similarly, heavy rains are widespread in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Tamil Nadu for the next five days and for the next 48 hours. The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains today. The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for heavy rains in the southern districts, Pudukkottai, Cuddalore, Ariyalur and Delta districts.

The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate showers in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puthuvai and Karaikal today due to the prevailing atmospheric circulation over the coastal areas of Kerala. Southern Tamil Nadu, Nilgiris, Coimbatore and Tirupur districts are likely to receive heavy showers at one or two places and Erode, Salem, Namakkal and Karur districts at one or two places.

On the 16th and 17th, light to moderate showers is likely in the south, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Delta districts and a few places in Karaikal. For Chennai, the sky will be partly cloudy for the next 48 hours.
