CM Stalin Holds Consultation Meeting On Rising COVID 19 Cases In TN

Today, Chief Minister Stalin will hold consultations on the imposition of restrictions in Tamil Nadu as the covid cases in India are rising again.

In the recent month, the Covid cases were declined, and the public was free from restrictions. But Covid 19 is currently on the rise. In the last 24 hours alone, 2,593 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Similarly, the number of corona victims in India so far is 4,30,57,545.

In Tamil Nadu, corona infection has been declining in double digits. But corona infections have been on the rise over the past few days. Corona has increased again in Tamil Nadu as the epidemic is on the rise in states including Maharashtra and Delhi in, India.

Already corona restrictions have been completely lifted. Mega vaccination camps were stopped as well. But the corona vaccine is being given in government hospitals. Medical experts say the fourth wave will be at its peak in June.

In this situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold consultations with the Chief Ministers on the 27th on the Corona impact situation in the country and the controls. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is holding consultations with the Medical Secretary and officials today.

The consultative meeting, held at 9 a.m. at the General Secretariat, is expected to discuss the re-imposition of curfews and curbs. Summer holidays have not been announced for schools. There will be restrictions in place to prevent crowds at tourist sites if the holiday is announced next month.

As of yesterday (24.04.2022), 52 new covid cases have been found across Tamil Nadu. A high number of cases is found in Chennai, with a count of 32 news cases.
