Chief Minister Stalin laid the foundation stone for setting up eight new sub-stations set up by Tangedco in different parts of Tamil Nadu.

On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Power System Corporation and the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation operating under the Department of Energy, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today inaugurated 14 new sub-stations at various locations in Tamil Nadu at the cost of 373 crores 22 lakh rupees and 723 M in 57 sub-stations at the cost of 91 crores 57 lakh rupees at Chief Secretariat.

He also laid the foundation stone for constructing eight new 110 KW sub-stations at an estimated cost of Rs 130 crore 18 lakh. Construction of new and upgraded sub-stations as per the requirement to provide uninterrupted power supply to the population to meet the increasing power demand due to growth in the industry, agriculture, and urban and rural development in Tamil Nadu.

And also the construction of additional transformers to improve the capacity of existing sub-stations, with proper voltage. The government is implementing the work of providing consistent electricity through the Tamil Nadu Power System Corporation and the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation.
