Chief Minister Stalin awarded certificates of appreciation to the police department for their excellent investigation and security measures in the Coimbatore car blast incident.

On 23.10.2022 in Coimbatore, after the car cylinder exploded in the area of ​​Ukkadam in the early morning, the police acted quickly and engaged in surveillance activities without any traces.

Within 12 hours of the incident, an investigation by special forces was accelerated, 148 clues were collected, explosives were seized, and five persons were arrested on 24.10.2022 in connection with the incident. A sixth person was also arrested the next day. Further, action under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) was also carried out the very next day (25.10.2022).

The work of the Tamil Nadu Police, who work day and night selflessly without rest, must be appreciated. To appreciate the work of the police officers who have served with a sense of dedication to maintain social peace and to encourage them further, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin presented certificates of appreciation to police officers and constables.
