Coimbatore: Commissioner Balakrishnan Warns On Strict Actions

Coimbatore Police Commissioner Balakrishnan said that strict action would be taken against the people involved in criminal activities in Coimbatore.

Amidst this, on September 22nd night, a petrol bomb was hurled at the municipal BJP office in Siddhapudur, Coimbatore. Due to this, the BJP started protesting. As the incident created tension, a petrol bomb was hurled at a cloth shop on Coimbatore's Oppanakkara Road and a shop belonging to Ratnapuri BJP zone president Mohan on 100 feet road.

Also, in the Pollachi Kumaran Nagar area, the vehicles of BJP office bearers Ponraj, Shiva and Hindu Front Ward Incharge Saravanakumar were damaged.

Following these kinds of crime incidents, Coimbatore Police Commissioner Balakrishnan said, "Anyone who disturbs the peace in Coimbatore will be booked under stricter sections. Three special teams have been formed for each incident in Coimbatore. We are continuously tracking the suspects." It is to note that many surveillance cameras have been set up in various places.
