The Tamil Nadu Health Department reported 3,077 new cases in Tamil Nadu, brings the total number of corona infections to 7,00,193. Meanwhile, 4,314 people recovered from the disease and returned home. The number of survivors from Corona has risen to 6,55,170.

Forty-five people have died in Tamil Nadu, hiking the death toll to 10,825. A further 833 people have been diagnosed in Chennai, and COVID has infected 1,93,299 people till today.

Next to Chennai, Coimbatore recorded 285infections on Oct 22. consecutively, Chengalpattu(193), Thiruvallur (170), and Salem (140 ) are highly infected with Corona. Tenkasiwas the less infected District in Tamilnadu with 5 cases.

81,259 samples were tested on Oct 22. So far, 92,75,108 samples have been tested. Currently, 34,198 cases are active in Tamilnadu.

The corona infection in India has been declining for the past few weeks. Strict norms and advance treatment made this possible in the second largest populated country. Corona infection has been confirmed in 54,366 people in the last 24 hours. So far, 77,61,312 people became victims of COVID.

Similarly, 690 people lost their lives yesterday. The death toll so far is 1,17,306. While 69 lakh people have recovered from the infection, Currently, 6,95,509 people are being treated across the country.
