Emergency Full Scale Mock Drill Conducted At Chennai Airport

A full-scale mock drill was conducted on Thursday at Chennai Airport. Officials from CISF, Tamil Nadu Police, medical staff, Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue, and airline staff actively participated in the drill.

A "mock drill" is a scenario in which participants practise how they would react during a disaster or emergency. Mock drills are the key activity for the sake of safety during disasters. Many schools and colleges emphasise these kinds of activities and knowledge in the students' minds.

In this situation, a full-scale mock drill was organised and conducted at Chennai Airport Yesterday (21/12/2023) . Officials from CISF, Tamil Nadu Police, medical staff, Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue, and airline staff energetically participated in the drill. 

This exercise aimed to improve the coordinated response and preparedness of all entities involved in emergency handling at the airport. A debriefing session was conducted by Sh. C. V. Deepak, Airport Director, Chennai Airport. The people present in the mock drill much appreciated this activity.
