E-pass relaxations in Tamil Nadu from August 17,2020-Edappadi K. Palaniswami: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has announced that an E-pass will be issued to all applicants immediately to travel across districts without hindrance from Monday i.e. August 17.

In the case of Tamil Nadu, the state government has banned the public from coming out after the implementation of the CoVid-19 curfew. Following this, the Tamil Nadu government issued an order to allow those receiving funerals, marriages and medical treatment to go to other districts through the District collector's approval following certain procedures.

It was ordered to apply online for getting an emergency pass in Tamil Nadu. Apparently, there are many problems in getting the E-pass in recent days after several lockdown relaxations. The rejection of E-pass amid the urgent needs created agitation among the public to rise against the government.

However, the Tamil Nadu government has announced that the E-pass system will continue to be in place and has ordered the formation of two committees in each district to simplify the E-pass process.

In this context, Chief Minister Palaniswami has announced that an e-pass will be issued to all applicants. In this regard, the government has issued a statement stating that the E-pass permit has been issued to all applicants from August 17, 2020 without any delay or restrictions.

If applicants apply with Aadhar or Family Card details along with telephone / mobile number to travel across Tamil Nadu (between districts) without any hindrance for important tasks.

The Chief Minister has advised everyone to use this decision responsibly in the interest of the public to avoid unnecessary travel and apply for E-pass only for unavoidable tasks mainly to contain the contagious virus. With the commencement of Independence day celebrations, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced few schemes today.

In a tweet, Edappadi K.Palaniswami stated the Launch of "Amma CoVid-19 Home Care" service plan for the benefit of people with Corona symptoms and who are advised to isolate at home with CoVid infection, by offering medical packages for 14 days at a discounted price of ₹2500.

Also, the CM flagged off the services of 30 sophisticated small LED video vehicles to create awareness among the public regarding the spread of CoVid infection on behalf of the Metropolitan Corporation of Chennai.
