A fire accident was reported in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, on January 31, triggering panic in the surrounding area. The incident occurred at around 2:30 PM, when a fire broke out at a thermocol warehouse located near the Giri Mariamman Temple.
According to initial reports, the blaze spread rapidly due to highly flammable thermocol materials stored in the warehouse. Thick smoke billowed from the site, drawing the attention of residents and passersby.
Fire and Rescue Services were immediately alerted, and multiple fire tenders rushed to the spot. Firefighters worked swiftly to contain the flames and, after sustained efforts, brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
