Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Radhakrishnan addressed the media at Chennai regarding the increasing count of Covid positive cases in Tamil Nadu.

The cases are on the hike in many districts of Tamil Nadu. Health secretary Radha Krishnan said it is challenging to control the increasing cases in some sections, like Chennai and Coimbatore.

The hike places of COVID 19 in Tamil Nadi in the recent days are Chennai, Coimbatore, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Tiruppur, Erode, Thanjavur, says Radha Krishnan.

As with other states, even Tamil Nadu is leading in the count of positive cases in recent days. Per day the confirmed cases crossed over 1000 in many districts of Tamil Nadu. He also said it is a must to wear the mask and maintain social distancing in public places, Marriage functions, Death ceremonies, Religious activities, and cultural meets.

Corona is a virus that doesn't know the difference, so it is necessary to maintain distance and to wear a mask during the campaign, says Radha Krishnan. He requested the public to wash hands regularly, sanitize the hands, and wear masks by maintaining social distance.

In India per day, 1000 positive cases are found in 19 states, and Tamil Nadu is one among those states. This year March is turning out like 2020 March with the gradual increase of COVID 19.

He also said that the reason behind the rising number of confirmed cases is due to many religious functions and marriages in the month of February and the increasing number of political activities for the Election 2021.

Overall 16 lakhs people are vaccinated in Tamil Nadu, and there will be Covid 19 camps in every district, he said.
