School holidays today in Tamil Nadu due to heavy rains: Northeast monsoon intensifies to bring rains across Tamil Nadu. Chennai metrological center confirms further showers today due to low pressure in the Kanyakumari sea. It further says moderate to heavy rains will lash out to most of the districts of Tamil Nadu.
Eight district administrations have declared holidays for schools on Wednesday. Fishers are not advised to go for fishing in southern parts of Tamil Nadu. Farmers are happy with the heavy rains lashing in the delta and other catchment areas of Tamil Nadu.
