Kranthi Kumar Pati took charge as the 183rd District Collector of Coimbatore on Sunday.

G.S. Sameeran, who was working as District Collector of Coimbatore, has been transferred as Joint Commissioner (Development Works) of Chennai Metropolitan Corporation.

Following this, Kranthi Kumar Pati, who was working as Tirupur Corporation Commissioner, was appointed Coimbatore District Collector and took charge on Sunday.

Kranthi Kumar Patistudied B.Com in Commerce from Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce, Pune. In 2011 he passed CA. He is ranked 35th in India.

After that, in 2015, he was promoted to civil service and worked as a trainee collector in the Trichy district. From July to September 2017, he worked as an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Posts in New Delhi.

Pati, an ICA graduate, has held the positions of chief executive officer of the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani, Dindigul district, joint commissioner of commercial tax and GST in Erode, and sub-collector of Namakkal district. He worked in the department of post as an assistant secretary as well.
