Minister of Health and People's Welfare M. Subramanian launched the Tamil Nadu Health Reform Project yesterday at Omanturar Government Pannoku Hospital, Chennai.

Even though the Corona Prevention Regulations are in force, from April 1st, 2023 onwards, patients, visitors, doctors, nurses and medical staff will visit more than 11,300 medical facilities in Tamil Nadu, including Government Medical College Hospitals, District Head Hospitals, Local Government Hospitals, Primary Health Care Centers, Sub-Health Care Centers. We have advised everyone to ensure 100 per cent wearing of masks.

This is because infection first starts in hospitals. Therefore, we are starting such reforms in hospitals. Although there is no large-scale spread of the disease for the public to fear in Tamil Nadu, we must wear face masks to protect ourselves.
