Palani Murugan Temple

The Madurai High Court has ordered that non-Hindus should not enter the Palani temple, and they should not be allowed to cross the flagpole.

Palani Murugan Temple is one of the most famous temples in Tamil Nadu and is visited daily by many devotees from Tamil Nadu and other states and countries.

In this situation, a notice board was placed not to enter the Palani Murugan temple. It was quickly removed due to controversy. In this situation, a case was filed in the High Court asking that the notice board not enter the temple should be put back.

The investigation of the case was ongoing. In this situation, the Madurai branch of the High Court has ruled that non-Hindus and non-believers should not be allowed to enter the temple.

In this ruling, non-Hindus and non-believers should not come past the flag tree in the Palani temple. Also, a notice board may be put up saying non-Hindus cannot enter the temple.

And if people of other faiths want a darshan of Sami inside the temple, a separate register should be created. The register says that you can enter the temple after buying and writing that you are coming to have a darshan with faith in this Sami.
