Considering the Centre's new circular other states decided to cancel the E-Pass system. Tamil Nadu government chose to keep their answer pending till the 29 of August.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, TN Government wants to follow the E-Pass system to control further spread. But the Centre's directives ordered all states to remove their E-Pass system regarding the availability of goods and services.

On Monday afternoon Tamilnadu Cheif Secretary K.Shanmugam along with all district collectors fix upon to continue E- Pass through video conference. Because TamilNadu's new cases are reporting more than 6000 a day, officials hesitate to revoke E-Pass.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami holds up his decision on E-Pass till Saturday. From Aug 17, he reduced E- Pass restrictions and approved more than five lakhs passes last week. But canceling E-Pass may end up in a turbulent spread. Next Saturday, after CM's conference with district collectors, they will finalize their decision about E-Pass and updates about the lockdown.
