TN Rainfall: Rain Will Continue In Tamil Nadu For A Few More Days

The Met Office has forecast moderate to heavy rains in Tamil Nadu for two more days. The Indian Meteorological Department is monitoring the low-pressure area in the northeast and adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal. Surveillance intensified in northern Andhra Pradesh and adjoining southern Odisha.

The new depression formed in the Central Bay of Bengal strengthened into a severe depression yesterday. It is expected to rain in 14 districts, namely Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Salem, Tiruppur, Erode, Namakkal, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Vellore, Dindigul, Theni, Tiruvannamalai, and Tiruchirappalli. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will have slight rain with thunder and lightning.

Indian Meteorological department tweeted, "Depression over Northeast & adjoining East-central Bay of Bengal: Pre-Cyclone Watch for north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coasts."

Due to this, it has been raining widely in Tamil Nadu for the last 2 days. It has rained moderately in many places and heavy in some places. The weather forecast informed that there will be light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry till the 28th of this month.
