Tamil Nadu Schools Reopen For Classes One To Eight From Today

Tamil Nadu schools are open for students from classes one to eight. Arrangements are made for the teachers to welcome the students with flowers and sweets.

Schools in Tamil Nadu were closed on March 10, 2020, due to the Covid 19. After the first wave of Corona, the schools were opened for students from class 9 to class 12. Due to the second wave of the coronavirus, all public examinations were cancelled in the 2020-21 academic year. 

Following this, direct classes started for students from September for classes One to nine. Even the college students attended the classes via zoon and google meet. After a very long break, students of classes 1 to 8are attending the regular classes from today, as the Tamil Nadu government announced earlier.

Since the covid cases are declining in Tamil Nadu, the government has taken such a decision considering the student's education. All the schools are instructed to follow the complete covid protocols. In the initial days, the classes will be held on a rotational basis.

Following the students are requested to wear masks, maintain social distance and wash hands at regular intervals. The MPs and MLAs in the locality are requested to visit the nearby schools and encourage the students to come to school regularly. The students came to school enthusiastically with smiling faces. 

As of yesterday, 1233 new positive cases was found in which 1434 got discharged from the hospitals. Compared to the other districts, Chennai (160) and Coimbatore (136) has a high number of covid cases crossing hundred. Fifteen patients have died in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours due to Corona.
