Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Heavy Rain Expected In Seven Districts

The Met Office has forecast heavy showers in Tamil Nadu Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Dharmapuri, Trichy, Kallakurichi, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts due to the prevailing atmospheric downpour.

In Tamil Nadu, it has been raining due to the impact of the Asani storm since last week. Thiruvannamalai and Chengalpattu districts received 2 cm of rainfall. The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast showers for the next five days due to the prevailing downpour in Tamil Nadu.

Light to moderate showers with thundershowers is expected in many parts of Tamil Nadu, Puthuvai and Karaikal today. Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Dharmapuri, Trichy, Kallakurichi, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts are likely to receive heavy showers at one or two places.

Thundershowers will develop at several places in Tamil Nadu, Puthuvai and Karaikal tomorrow. The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Theni, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts are likely to receive heavy showers at one or two places.

On the 17th and 18th, there will be light to moderate rain with thundershowers at many places in Tamil Nadu, Puthuvai and Karaikal. For Chennai, the sky will be generally cloudy for the next 48 hours. Light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature was reported at 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 27 degrees Celsius.
