The Chennai Meteorological Department has said there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for five days. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puduvai and Karaikal today (October 5) due to a low-pressure area over the West Bengal Sea.

Light rain has been falling in and around Chennai since this morning. In this case, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for five days, according to the Meteorological Department. Accordingly, it has been said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in 10 districts, including Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Cuddalore and Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu today.

Similarly, it has been reported that there is a possibility of heavy rain tomorrow in 14 districts, including Chennai, Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram.
