Tamil Nadu Weather Report: Heavy Rain Will Continue For Four Days

Light to moderate rain is likely at most places in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry for four days from 15th (today) to 18th due to atmospheric circulation in the interior of Northern Tamil Nadu.

The northeast monsoon in Tamil Nadu has brought heavy rains to many districts in the last week. Due to this heavy rainfall in the northern districts, including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu and Tiruvallur, many got affected. Roads and buildings were badly affected by the floods.

Yesterday, the Meteorological Department issued a notice of rain again as rainwater has been discharged in most places and has returned to normal life. Accordingly, light to moderate rains is expected in Puthuvai and Karaikal today due to the circulation of the upper layer of the atmosphere. Heavy rain is also expected at one or two places in Kanyakumari.

The Met Office has forecast thundershowers in Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Dindigul and Theni districts with lightning. Similarly, Erode, Kallakurichi, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Tirupati, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Ranipettai, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Coimbatore, Salem, Dharmapuri, Cuddalore, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Mayiladuthurai districts, Pondicherry and Karaikal will have heavy rain today.
